Jamie Akhtar has over a decade of experience within the field of cybersecurity. From a young age, Jamie has fostered an obsession with technology, building, breaking and putting things back together since he could turn on a computer. He has built over a hundred web applications and served as CTO at several organisations, including Tresor Security, Brokr and Storm International.

He is a CREST-registered Technical Security Architect, an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and certified in Information Assurance Architecture. Moreover, he is a part of the British Computer Society, the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) as well as Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP). He also wears a white hat as an ethical hacker.

Jamie is also the CEO and co-founder of CyberSmart, a cybersecurity company dedicated to helping small businesses protect themselves against common threats.

Jamie is a seasoned public speaker, having presented at numerous industry events including InfoSec Europe, WIRED Security, SaaS Open and the Exertis Cloud and Security Summit.
